Setting up the BG-UHD-1616M Web Interface and Control App

Welcome to the guide for setting up your BG-UHD-1616M's web interface and control app. This guide will take you through the process of connecting your device to the network and configuring it using both the WebGUI and the BG-SWITCH-CONTROL App. If you encounter any issues during setup, please don't hesitate to contact our technical support team for assistance.

Step 1: Connecting to the Network

• Physical Connection: After powering on your device, connect it to your network switch/router using an Ethernet cable. For optimal performance, we recommend using a Category 6 Ethernet cable.
• Enable DHCP: Using the buttons on the front panel of the unit, navigate to the DHCP settings.

Step 1: Press the [Menu] button until you reach the DHCP settings.

Step 2: If DHCP is turned off, switch it on.

Step 3: Make note of the IP address displayed or remember it for later use.

Step 2: Logging into the WebGUI

• Accessing the WebGUI: Open a web browser and type the IP address of your device into the address bar. Wait a few seconds for the BZBGEAR branded login page to appear.

Something went wrong: If the page fails to load or redirects to an error page, ensure that both your device and laptop/computer are connected to the same network. Verify that their IP addresses belong to the same IP scheme (e.g., Laptop: 192.168.10.100, BG-UHD-1616M: 192.168.10.200).

• Login Credentials: Once the login page appears, use the default username and password:

Username: admin

Password: admin

WebGUI Overview: Familiarize yourself with the main sections of the WebGUI interface for easy navigation and configuration.

[Input] Tab: Manage the input names and EDID settings

[Output] Tab: Manage output names, scaler mode, ARC, and output stream

[CEC] Tab: Manage and control input and output devices 

[Network] Tab: Manage IP address settings, DHCP, and password

[System] Tab: Front panel lock, silence beep, LCD screen settings, serial baud rate, factory reset, reboot 

Step 3: Setting up the BG-SWITCH-CONTROL App

• Download the App: The BG-SWITCH-CONTROL App is available for various platforms including Windows, iOS, Mac, and Android. You can find it in the respective App Store on your device by searching for "BZBGEAR" or "BG-SWITCH-CONTROL App."
• Device Configuration: After downloading and opening the app, you'll be prompted to add a name for the device and insert its IP address.
