Overview

The BG-BFS is a full HD SDI IP Streaming box camera which utilizes a 3G-SDI connection to deliver 1080p@60Hz video at distances up to 300ft. Additionally, the BG-BFS also supports power over ethernet (PoE) functionality. This camera is well suited for use in settings such as manufacturing, lecture halls, retail spaces, studios, and medical facilities. The BG-BFS is a great choice for any application that requires a high-quality image and easy setup from a fixed angle camera.

The BG-BFS is equipped with a manual lens featuring 4x optical zoom. The manual adjustments make it ideal for set and forget installation, ensuring precise zoom and focus settings for long-term reliability. The 1/2.8” HD CMOS sensor delivers accurate color reproduction and crisp 1080P HD imaging.

Connectivity and Control

Utilizing Power over Ethernet, a single category can transmit the IP video stream as well as power the camera, greatly simplifying the installation process. A full-featured web interface provides easy access to detailed image settings.

The BG-BFS is equipped with simultaneous 3G-SDI and IP streaming video outputs and supports multiple streaming protocols and compression formats including ONVIF, RTSP, RTMP, and SRT. This enables users to stream the output directly to sites like Facebook and YouTube. The combination of outputs provides a high degree of versatility, allowing the BG-BFS to be easily integrated into most situations.

Interfaces

Interfaces image
  1. LAN: Connect to a network switch via category cable to supply power (PoE), control (TCP/IP or webGUI) and stream.
  2. HD-SDI: Connect to an SDI device up to 330ft such as a video production switcher or a video display at resolutions up to 3G (1080@60Hz) over SDI cabling.
  3. Power: Connect supplied 12V power adapter.
  4. CN (RS-485): Connect via RS-485 to control the camera with a joystick controller or control software.
  5. Reset: Hold Reset button to factory restore.
  6. A-In: Connect external audio sources such as a microphone or small audio mixer to embed the sound into all video output interfaces.
